Amsterdam Bosrankstraat

Loft living

A spacious and bright new interior for this Amsterdam apartment. The key objectives are to optimize its layout, making the most of the available space, and to upgrade the level of finish. Through a few grand gestures the new layout combines cosy nooks and long sightlines in a spacious, balanced and coherent interior.

Open-concept

The old layout was unbalanced. The owners found the bedroom area to be boxy, while the living room to their taste was uninvitingly large and undefined. They wanted space to be defined in a more fluent way. In the new layout space is shaped by steel and glass walls and bespoke cabinets, allowing light and space to flow freely while giving shelter and privacy when required.

Smart optimization

Apart from bathrooms, the entire apartment is one continuous space, bathed in light. By switching the living room and bedroom position, we were able to create comfortable, well-proportioned spaces and even add another room, which will allow the young couple to stay in this vivid part of Amsterdam should their family expand in the future.

Refined balance

The colour and material palette breathes tranquillity and balance. The sleek grey PU floor screed perfectly complements the oak cabinets’ warm tones and the refined white steel partitions’ industrial look. Colour was added to this pared-down basis through accessories and soft furnishings.
